Connemara - Tasting Notes

Colour: Lightly golden

Nose: Smokey peatiness balanced by heather floralness with hints of honey and oak.

Taste: Silky smooth with a honey sweet start, followed by more complex aromas of malt and fruit giving way to the intensifying full bodied peat. A well-balanced yet complex taste with vanilla oak notes.

Finish: A long and glorious finish with golden honey notes and deep peat spreading across the mouth and palate. Hints of chocolate vanilla and oak leave a mouth-watering taste!

Serving Suggestions: Connemara can be enjoyed neat or with a little water to release the bouquet

Cooley Distillery	Irland
Cooley distillery grundades 1987 av John Teeling och är Irland enda oberoende destilleri. 1989 fyllde man sitt första fat. Pernod Ricard som äger övriga Irländska destillerier försökte i mitten på 90-talet köpa Cooley för £24 miljoner men köpet gick inte igenom. Destilleriet har köpt rätten att använda namnen Kilbeggan, ett av Irlands äldsta destillerier, samt Lockes. Båda dessa är stängda sedan länge.
Tillverkning Cooley
Två mindre pannor med större halsar. Tiden spriten befinner sig i pannorna är enligt Cooley 50% längre än andra destillerier. Cooley destillerar till skillnad från Jameson och Bushmills två gånger. Kilbeggans närliggande lokaler används som lagerplats.
